MAG, the PS3's upcoming massive action game, will have an open beta starting Jan. 4. The price of admission? If you own a PS3, the answer is "nada".
The new beta file will be available for download Jan. 4, and will last until Jan. 10. Players will get a chance to test out the games multiplayer matches of ridiculous size - 64-player "Sabotage", or the even more insane Domination Mode, with a paltry 256 players.
The game will release Jan. 26 in North America and Jan. 29 in Europe.

Yeah, i'll definitely have to give it a try. The idea of 256 people on one multi game is... pretty friggin' crazy. Just think of how many racist comments per second that is!
The 256 player matches hold up. I had a lot of fun playing when I did. However, that download is freaking massive!
