

Xbox Live general manager Marc Whitten announced to the Fast Company blog that an Xbox Live update will be available on Nov. 17, and will include the long-awaited Facebook and Twitter integration with the service.
Among the new features included with this new serivce are the ability to see Friend updates from your Xbox, view pictures on your TV, and turn Facebook friends into Xbox Live buddies.
The new update will also include new integration with Last.fm and the Zune marketplace. With Last.fm, users will be able to stream music from online and can easily find other music they may enjoy. Meanwhile, the Zune marketplace will offer instantly streaming video in 1080p.

I've been in the preview program for some time now and I can honestly say...I don't ever know when I'll use it. Facebook connection is cool though.

Yeah, since I have a laptop in the same room as my Xbox, I'm guessing I won't ever use it either. But I guess it'll be cool to see which Facebook friends I don't already have associated with my GamerTag.
